Anyone who has trouble finding the "right words" to speak with his or her Higher Power may find exactly what he or she wants to say in one of these prayers. The suggestion in the Eleventh Step—"sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him"—asks us to improve our prayer and meditation life. May these prayers help you improve your spiritual progress. This book, as with volume 1 of The 12 Step Prayer Book, is a companion to the meditation book Easy Does It: A Book of Daily Twelve Step Meditations. It is ok. Not as good as expected. Looked at the 2nd volume sample but did not buy. It is not organized by step if you are hoping to give it to someone in a 12-step program. That is why I give it 3 stars. A random hodge podge of readings. On the other hand, if the intended reader does not already have a number of good daily meditation readers, then this one will be greatly appreciated by someone in recovery.

I read the daily prayer every night before I go to bed. It is a must for me. I love the way the month and day in the front of the book send you to random prayers throughout. If I follow that...I invariably find exactly what I am meant to find. Read it on your knees right beside your bed and it will send "angel bumps" down your arms. You won't be disappointed. You will feel connected!I have bought several as gifts for my friends in recovery and they love these prayers as well.

The hard work of recovery from alcoholism and/or the effects of it from another in our lives is sometimes daunting. Reading just a little prayer each day makes the journey a little easier because we see hope. Others have made it; so can we.

Amazing book, has many well-known prayers and many many new ones that I have never even heard once. Great book if you're looking for a little change or something new to recite in the mornings. Also gave me the opportunity to find a specific prayer for a specific feeling or worry I might be having. Mainly i love it because it adds new perspective to my life, and I like to take phrases from many prayers and form them into one large one, that sort of thing. Also I love the size, it's convenient and quaint.

I prefer more of a daily inspiration format, being able to read each one based on the date in sequential order. This one works more like an index where you'd look up the date and it tells you a page and prayer number to look up for that day...and it's a bit confusing with two numbers (page and prayer number).

I could connect right away to the prayers and the meaning of them. I take the book to the gym and read the prayers on the stationary bike, and it makes exercising easier.

Beautiful prayer book for anyone with a belief in a power greater than themselves. I highly recommend this book.

What you are getting is more of a history of geography and NOT a study of where States, Continents, Contries, Oceans, etc are located and what types of land masses might exist in said locations, ie Rockies, Alps, Caspian Sea, Amazon, Cape of Good Hope, etc. It's not that kind of geography book. They don't teach geography in Texas anymore. It's not part of our "core". I guess our GPS can tell where we are....ppppffffttt. It does have maps in the back but I would have liked to have seen something a little different.

I'm a but disappointed in this book.An entire chapter dedicated to Islam but no mention of Buddhist, Hinduism, or Christianity and how those religions shaped the regions they are from.I certainly dont mind teaching about other religions but when teaching on WORLD RELIGIONS why was only one mentioned?

This really helped my son he was struggling and only learning around a 4th grade level these books were great!

The lessons are good but the questions are not clear in what they are asking. I feel it is really confusing to teach from this book.

The Spectrum curriculum is always a good base for my homeschooler. I like the material and the workbook feel to it. Not every subject is in depth but I like doing a little research to add to some of the topics. This way I can tailor to my child's interests and our values.

I thought there would be more info in here that I could use.. but really it's just an overview of world geography... I won't be using it... I love all the Spectrum books, but I think you can just find more online than use this for 6th grade geography... Not what I was looking for.

Awesome activities to for the new Tennessee social studies state standards. Can't wait to get started this year with it.
