I love reading Crusoe's blog on Facebook, so treated myself to this book. I was expecting it to be just a few pages, but it's a nice, thick, quality mini-coffee table book. Even has some recipes included. You won't be sorry you bought this - especially if you enjoy Crusoe's blog or have dachshunds.

I discovered Crusoe's blog maybe a year ago, and it has become my favorite blog. Partly because Crusoe's dad makes such creative costumes for Crusoe and partly because the writing is great.. Some of the costumes include pilot, policeman, fireman, doctor, pirate...and the #1 of all times, Minions!!. Crusoe seems to be having such fun with all the costumes and the adventures.When the book became available on pre-order, though, I wasn't that excited. I thought - I read the blog, why do I want another book around the house? I'll probably read it once and then never look at it again. But in a moment of weakness (and love of dachshunds), I purchased it, and I am so glad I did.The book itself has a sturdy feel to it. I can open it to a page, and it stays open so I can leave it open to my favorite picture/story of the day. The cover isn't a paper jacket that will tear, but a sturdy cover that will hold up to dog slobber and rough wear.The content includes high quality photos, interesting graphics, and excellent writing. I actually sat down and read it all the way through the day after I received it. (I kept saying, just one more story.....) And I have dipped into it several times since then, "forcing" family members to look at the adorable Crusoe the Sushi Chef or Crusoe does Italian! I think what makes this different from other dog books is the great writing. Even if you aren't a dachshund lover, you will enjoy the fun this dog has, and his droll sense of humor. If you aren't sure, read a couple of blogs and see if you like this style of writing. Then go buy the book. You won't be sorry. In fact, I need to buy another one for my SIL for Christmas.

This is one of the BEST, fun, most enjoyable books about a celebrity dog you'll ever read: Crusoe, the Celebrity Dachshund: Adventures of the Wiener Dog Extraordinaire I can't say enough great things about Crusoe's first book. Reading about his adventures put a smile on my face. Such a personality! Such a handsome dog! Such adventure and fun!We have a black and tan Dachshund named Tyler in our family, who is very much like Crusoe- fun, happy, energetic and awesome. I tried to read 2 pages a day, just so it wouldn't end -and I look forward to re-reading it over and over, and to Crusoe's second book! Maybe on the next book tour he'll come to the Baltimore/Washington area. We LOVE Crusoe!!

You have no idea how excited I was on the day my copy of 'Crusoe, the Celebrity Dachshund: Adventures of the Wiener Dog Extraordinaire' was due to be delivered. I was distraught when I realized the package was listed as having been delivered to my front porch--but was nowhere to be found! This led to a frantic search in the cold late October rain that took my fiancé across the highway knocking on neighbors' doors inquiring about my missing package. Eventually he found it under someone's porch steps, completely drenched! Luckily, the book has really thick, glossy pages that prevented significant water damage. I was overjoyed to finally have my copy of Crusoe's book in my hands!It was so worth the anticipation and every dime I spent on it. As a long time Crusoe fan, (he's my favorite celeb, hands down!) this book is an absolute treasure. The photographs were really high quality and unbelievably adorable with cute captions that let Crusoe's personality shine through. As a dachshund owner, I know how unique and special every little sausage dog is and Ryan Beauchesne does such a great job capturing the voice and shine of his dachshund extraordinaire, Crusoe. While I enjoyed the whole book and found myself giggling and squealing multiple times, my favorite chapter was "Date Night, Bachelor Edition" (Oh my goodness, could this book be any cuter!?) And please don't tell Crusoe, but the picture of baby Oakley made me melt like no other!'Crusoe, the Celebrity Dachshund: Adventures of the Wiener Dog Extraordinaire' is a wonderful keepsake for Crusoe fans and/or dog lovers in general. ☆☆☆☆☆

Okay, so I LOVE miniature dachshunds, having three myself. I can tell that Crusoe is special! He has stolen my heart with his handsome good looks and keen sense of adventure. If you don't know who he is yet, it's time you found out! He's only the most charming, witty, funny, sexy, cheeky, personable, stylish, fashionable, enchanting, and photogenic hunk-of-a-dachshund that ever lived -- and he'll completely win you over!! From the tip of his adorable nose, to the end of his long tail, this little guy packs more life into a day than many of us do in a year. Don't let his size fool you. He's got one huge (and delightful) personality. I can't say enough good things about Crusoe and his new book -- I am smiling my way through every page. It's absolutely delightful -- a "must have" for every dachshund lover. Crusoe, if I were a dog, I'd ask you to marry me!!! <3

If you decide to use Banner's book for theory, I have put together a table to cross-reference the chapters in the books. I have just been in the US for nearly a half 1 year and taking my first math class- Calculus class in there. Almost of anything was tough to me in the first time by new language and the solving for a math problem became a pressure to me. By accident, I saw this book on the bookshelf in library, then I tried to read it. I identified it was too easy to understand and I could learn many thing from this book. I learn more type of calculus subject; I know how to explain a math problem by English, how to analyse a calculus issue and how to find a result soon and effectively.The book was send on time and looked like new. Thank you very much ^^

This is a decent book. It will definitely help a student who likes to see problems worked out. I thought it was going to have problems for students to practice and then show the answers worked out. That format would have been more helpful. It starts with Pre-calc and it should state that somewhere since students who need pre-calc help, might find it useful to buy BEFORE calculus. I don't LOVE it because I feel that 5 steps to a 5 for AP Calc BC is a much better book, even if you are only taking Honors Calc, Regular Calc, or Calc AB. It gives better examples, more examples, and practice problems worked out. So even though this book says Humonguous Book of problems, it is a misnomer. Even though the AP Calc BC book suggests only someone in AP Calc BC could benefit from it, I would suggest that book over this one. FYI, I am a former Calculus professor and now I tutor students in all levels of mathematics, including Calc. Still, if the other book is not available, this is not a bad book and will help!

I purchased this book and other popular books Calculus for Dummies, Schaums's Calculus book series, among others.This book to me is best of the group of 4 books on this subject. To me the most important in learning calculus is todo the exercises. One book "Calculus Made Easy" was good as explaining concepts, but lacked in examples. This book is virtuallyall examples. I am proponent of learning by practices and this book allows the reader to follow along the solution is detailed step.I would recommend this book over other books in calculus help books. This book however does not explain the concepts andbackground well. If you already have some basic concept understanding this is the book for you. However, you need basicconcepts explained get other books as companion.

I am teaching AP Calculus AB for the first time, and still struggling to find the ideal text for my students. The Humongous Book of Calculus Problems comes closest. I really love this book, and use it as a reference all the time for my class. It is fantastic for the detailed pre-Calculus coverage, and for the complete, very thorough examples of each Calculus topic. The author starts with fairly simple problems, and gradually builds in complexity in manageable, logical increments. Plus, it's written in an entertaining manner, and is incredibly inexpensive. Alas, it is not perfect. Sheesh, what more do I want, you ask?What would make it absolutely perfect would be if: 1) It really was a textbook, that is, if it added now-do-it-yourself exercises for students to practice each concept and 2) It clearly delineated AP Calculus AB vs. BC topics for the teacher who wants to focus on students passing the AP Calculus AB exam. For example, the solids of revolution chapter mixes examples requiring integration by parts with ones that don't require this technique. Solids of revolution by the disc method is an AB topic; integration by parts is BC and therefore a nicety, not a necessity, for my students.Still, the best book I've found for the clarity of its examples.

I was expecting a book of practice problems with answers/explanations. What I got was a bunch of cutesy "hand written" notes and no practice problems.

My wife and I have found this book a great reference for protecting assets during our retirement. I would recommend this book for those that want to protect what they have saved and to ensure that you don't pay taxes unnecessarily while in retirement. Helping you save more always makes more sense and the author provides a number of practical examples as well as examples of what not to do. With the 2018 tax law changes this book is a little out of date but overall the message of this book is still well within scope for those that want to save and extend their retirement savings.

This book is good for individuals who are planning to retire in ten years. I did get some interesting ideas and suggestions that I plan to followup on.

Ed does a good job of leading you around the do's, the don'ts, and the can do's of IRA's and other retirement accounts 401(k)'s, 403(b)'s, and 457's. He uses concrete examples to demonstrate the calculations required, and he has a sense of humor about the tax traps and degree of complexity in the IRS rules. I learned a lot and had fun doing so.

I have read most of Ed Slott's books. Mr Slott understands, not only the basics, but also the nuances of retirement planning thru IRAs.This book does a wonderful job explaining the jungle associated with most Government controlled programs. Making changes to your IRA without an understanding of the rules is like playing the game of baseball without not knowing rules. The game may seem intuitive, but the details are in the rules. A simple mistake, even by an estate lawyer who is an expert is estate law, can cost you and your beneficiaries big bucks in taxes.If you want a basic understanding of the differences between a 401K, 403B, 457, IRA, Roth IRA, Roth 401K, this is your book. If you want to know how to maximize the money you give to your kids thru inheritance from your financial plans like IRAs and 401Ks, this is your book. If you want to know how to minimize the tax dollars the government bites out of your estate, this is your book.The cost of this book could be the best gift you can read for your future beneficiares... The "time bomb" is all about how to ensure that whatever remains in your tax deferred retirement account (IRA, 401K, HSA, etc) is passed along to your kids (or whoever) AFTER you die and to keep it out of probate court. The solution is to name both primary (usually your spouse) and contingent (usually your kids) beneficiaries for these accounts. Pretty basic advise. He also discusses how to do the same with a bank checking/savings account by filling out a Payable-on-Death (POD) form (available from your bank) or Brokerage account via a Transfer-on Death (TOD) form (available from your broker). Again, very basic advise.

This book outlines what boomers (and others) should know about their retirement finances. Few know what the problems might be when they transfer or start accessing retirement money. Fewer still will bother to find out and even fewer will act on the information. What "The Retirement Savings Time Bomb.." discusses is how to prevent unneccessary taxable acts when accessing the money and even how to access funds early (before 59 1/2). Finally, he talks over reasons for converting a regular IRA to a Roth IRA if it makes economic sense and how to minimize taxation in the long run. If I have one critical comment about the book, I feel the information is directed toward individuals who have more retirement savings than I. Regardless, I still will benefit from the information provided.

This book gave me the best detailed understanding of my retirement savings options and future issues I’ve seen yet. I received my copy as a gift from a friend and already and I’ve bought 2 other copies for my son-in-law and another friend.
