Terrible book. No tips whatsoever. Save your money and do a quick google to find all the common tips for free.
I have been a member of Toastmasters International since 1999. This book covers everything we employ to engage members in the art of public speaking. It is the best book I have on communication skills even though it is now out of print and was published in the late '80's. This book is chock full of the best methods and observations on improving your presentation.
Nido is an outstanding speaker and an all around motivational person at all times. Love this book!

Dr. Nido Qubein is the President of High Point University. But much more than that he is an inspiration. His talks a and books can inspire you to understand the power of 'WOW'. He embodies preeminence and the art of the possible.
I listened to this on CD at the library and recommend doing this first because the book just looks too dry but it is packed full of great information. I loved what I heard--so simple and common sense---that I absolutely needed his book in writing. From what I remember about Dale Carnegie, I personally think Nido R. Qubein tops even Mr. Carnegie. A must for anyone in Toastmasters.
