I have bought, read and gifted many copies of "We'll Call You If We Need You". It is a book written by and author who is also A PIONEER IN THE TRADES. She has walked the walk and is more than qualified to talk the talk. It was my honor to be able to share my story with her. An honor to know that all that we sacrificed...blood, sweat and tears... will live on because this book exists. For those of you who have no idea about the life of women in construction and what they faced in the beginning, and perhaps still face to day...I say honor them ..BUY AND READ THIS BOOK. Just finished reading this book and absolutely loved everything about it. The way it was written with everyone’s perspectives made it feel like you were a part of their experience. It’s a shame I don’t know more Tradeswomen to pass this book on to. The history of them pioneering is something I wish I had known sooner about. Highly recommend!
NIce Book, If you are an Union Trade you should read this Book
Susan Eisenberg honored our literature class at UMass/Boston with a poetry reading. This wonderful poet constructs vivid images which are rooted in her experience on the front lines of the Women's Movement. As a man, I didn't really expect to identify with her work. MEA CULPA. If you've ever had a dream of better life, a better place, a better YOU - then this is the author for you. My dad, a retired lineman and Eisenberg's union brother in the IBEW, can't get enough of her work. A true American classic.
